Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of Chow Social, a skill-based mahjong community and table-booking platform operated by [legal entity name]. By signing in and accepting these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Fair Play & No Gambling page, you agree to them.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding agreement.
2. What Chow Social is
Chow Social lets you discover venues, book seats at mahjong tables, check in, and have your games scored into casual or ranked standings and public leaderboards. Chow Social is a skill-and-community platform. It is not a gambling service. See the Fair Play & No Gambling page, which forms part of these Terms.
3. No stakes, no wagering
You may not use Chow Social to place bets, wager money, stake money on outcomes, or settle money between players. Points are game scores that track skill across a season. They are not currency, not credit, and not a debt, and they cannot be redeemed for cash. Any prize or reward offered through the platform is a complimentary voucher or non-cash recognition, never cash and never tied to money staked. Using Chow Social to facilitate gambling is a serious violation of these Terms.
4. Your conduct
Play fairly. Do not cheat, collude, dump points, share accounts, use another person's QR code, or manipulate scores or standings. Check in honestly. Treat venue staff and other players with respect. Do not submit false reports or reviews.
5. Scoring and disputes
Games are scored by the venue's authorized confirmer (owner or appointed moderator) as per-player point deltas that must sum to zero. Ranked standing requires an eligible roster and a ranked session. If you dispute a score, raise it with the venue. We may void a hand (the system owner only; a venue owner can request a void, which the system owner reviews and executes); a void reverses that hand's points exactly. Corrections are made by voiding and re-entering, never by silently editing a recorded result.
6. Bookings, payments, and refunds
Bookings are subject to the venue's policies (holds and their expiry, booking cutoffs, and cancellation/refund tiers) which are snapshotted onto your booking when you book. Payments are handled manually via the venue's or the platform's QR and confirmed by staff. Refunds are computed from the policy that applied to your booking and executed by the party that received the payment. Commission arrangements are between us and the venues and do not change the price you agreed to.
7. Our enforcement rights
To protect the integrity of the community, we may, proportionate to the violation: issue a warning; suspend your ranked eligibility; remove a review (system owner only, the reviewed venue can flag but not remove); end a venue partnership; or suspend or ban an account. We act against fraud, collusion, abuse, and any use of the platform to facilitate gambling.
8. Reviews and reports
You may review a venue only if you paid and checked in there. Reviews are published by default; a venue may reply publicly or flag a review to us, but only we can remove one. Reports of another player require that you were checked in together at the same table; we route them to the venue owner and to us, except reports naming a venue's own staff, which come only to us.
9. Venues
Venues operate under a separate partnership agreement covering commission and payouts. Venues must not use Chow Social to enable or facilitate gambling; doing so ends the partnership.
10. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for disputes between players or between a player and a venue, or for a venue's conduct on its own premises. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms and will ask you to re-accept material changes. Questions: [legal@domain] · [legal entity name], [address], Indonesia.
